E-FOOD _ HEADQUARTER'S GROUND FLOOR RINOVATION
Study for the redesign of the ground floor of eFood’s headquarters in Athens.
-
The project is currently in progress.
The proposal focuses on the creation of a flexible, multi-use work environment combining lounge areas, temporary workstations, collaboration zones and meeting rooms. The ground floor is conceived as an open level of movement and encounter, where users can work for short periods, take a call, join a quick collaboration or move into a more formal meeting.
The main idea of the study is transparency and flexibility. The spaces are not organized as fixed offices, but as a temporary-use system ( plug-in / plug-out ) supporting the fast and constantly changing rhythm of the company.
The ground floor also hosts the company’s largest meeting room, designed for meetings with key corporate clients, partners and teams from Greece and abroad. Glass partitions allow light and visual continuity throughout the space, while the materials and lighting give the room a more composed and representative character.
At the rear part of the floor plan, where the ceiling height is lower, smaller glass meeting rooms and temporary work areas are organized. These spaces function as a complement to the other floors, supporting short meetings, calls or individual work when more focus is required.
Lighting acts as a key design tool. Linear lights, concealed lighting and luminous ceiling lines organize the different zones and enhance the flow of the space without making it feel heavy.
CMF | Materiality & Finishes
The material palette combines light beige-grey flooring, glass, black metal frames, natural wood, neutral fabrics and controlled red surfaces. The deep red, connected to eFood’s visual identity, is used as a spatial accent rather than a decorative element.
Wood and textiles add warmth and comfort, while plants act as soft filters between work zones. The overall proposal aims to transform the ground floor into a lively, transparent and human workspace for collaboration, temporary work and corporate meetings.
