KAMARA APARTMENT

In the Kamara Apartment, the architectural proposal questions the predetermined boundaries of domestic space: the conventional separation between shared, private and service areas. The interior is organised as an open system of visual and functional relationships, where spaces remain in continuous dialogue.
 

The central gesture is the bedroom, designed as a glass box positioned at the heart of the apartment. Its framed glazed partitions transform it into a transparent core: it visually enters the living area, frames it and becomes an integral part of it. The living room develops behind it as an extension of this central volume, while the kitchen is conceived as an autonomous semi-open box, with neutral matt surfaces that integrate quietly into the spatial flow.
 

These three main areas - bedroom, kitchen and living room - remain visually and functionally connected, challenging familiar distinctions between enclosed and open, private and shared, glass transparency and the calmness of matt surfaces.

Light was a defining element of the composition. The transparency of the volumes allows natural light to reach every part of the home, while artificial lighting adds depth to the geometries and reveals the material qualities.

The clarity and honesty of the chosen materials complete a proposal for living that is more open, fluid and free from conventional spatial limits.
