MALAKASA LOFT HOUSE

Loft in Malakasa.

Study - Build : July 2019

The main challenge of the study was incorporating a new use — that of a residence — into a pre-existing space that previously functioned as a café-restaurant, characterized by chalet-style aesthetics and dominated by wood and stone materials.

The core objective of our architectural proposal was to completely transform the atmosphere of the space through a new approach to textures, colors, and lighting. The goal was to evoke a sense of comfort, relaxation, familiarity, and the feeling of home.

To achieve this, we decided to remove all interior partition walls, unifying the space across both the ground floor and the loft.

A key element in shaping the new concept was relocating the central staircase to the loft. Its modern, minimalist design, combined with an open-plan kitchen and the seamless blending of textures and materials into a unified, harmonious color palette, played a decisive role in realizing the overall vision.
