Ourania Tyliou is the founder and lead architect of otarch creative studio, based in Athens. An architect and interior designer with over 15 years of experience, she has designed projects ranging from private residences and professional spaces to large-scale works for organizations and international competitions.
Today, following the completion of her Master at Politecnico di Milano, she also works as a CMF & Sensorial Designer, focusing on design through materiality, color, and sensorial experience.
With studies in Greece and an academic path that began with a PhD on "memory and archetypal forms in architectural synthesis" and continued with a Master in Sensorial Design at Politecnico di Milano, she has cultivated an experimental and human-centered approach to design. At the same time, her engagement with the performing arts (dance and physical theatre) enriched her understanding of space, allowing her to approach it through the body and the senses.
Today, alongside her architectural practice, she is part of a research lab that studies global color trends, focusing on their cultural and historical roots and on how color choices reflect emotions, needs, and collective directions.
The Otarch Studio is formed by a team of collaborators who cover all stages of design: from concept and technical studies to interior design, lighting, materials, and furniture selection. Its portfolio includes residential projects, housing complexes, offices, retail spaces, and hospitality venues. In collaboration with graphic designers, the studio also provides complete branding and corporate identity solutions, ensuring a cohesive design experience across every level.
Ourania Tylio’s goal is to create spaces with authentic identity and refined aesthetics, where functionality meets imagination. Her philosophy is built on the connection between memory, the senses, and creative practice — a continuous exploration that transforms space into narrative and experience.
